SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY- Revelation 22:17
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” (Rev. 22:17 NIV)
Thought of the day
Andrew says at the end of the age the boiling point of the church’s prayer will be one unified cry for Jesus to return. The early church longed for the return of Christ as well, even using the term “Maranatha,” which means, “Come, Lord Jesus,” as a secret greeting of sorts. It is okay to pray for temporal things, but our ultimate desire in prayer should be anchored in the physical return of Jesus Christ to rule and reign upon the earth.
Questions to ponder
1.) When was the last time I joined with the Holy Spirit’s prayer for Jesus to return to earth?
2.) How can I begin to incorporate this simple, but powerful prayer, into my regular rhythms of prayer?
3.) What passages in the Bible can I read and meditate on, today and throughout this week, that point to the return of Christ?
