Answered prayers in Redeem Inititative!

Answered prayers in Redeem Inititative!

The following is a testimony of how God has answered the prayers of our Redeem team in the past few weeks! Our Redeem outreach initiative exist to see the eradication of sex trafficking in our city and community. We work in the area of intervention but also prayer. We believe it is God that is doing the work and we are just being obedient to what he says do. So, our number one goal in this mission is prayer.

The Redeem Team just held a 12 hour prayer day for the specific issue of commercial sexual exploitation in our area. We have been praying for the light of Jesus to expose the darkness, for institutions to be turned around, and that commercial sexual exploitation will be shut down, and we have seen just that!-
-The Medallion Club in Columbus has been permanently shut down by the owner! Also, there was a Columbus man who was arrested for child exploitation and pornography. We are not excited to see these situations occur but we praise God that the light exposes all the hidden things. In this, freedom can be administered! However, we also continue in our prayers that this club and the owner should be used for a work of redemption and that the man involved in child exploitation will be used mightily to bring others out of the darkness where he was!

My first encounter with Take the City was going to Wilson Apartments in Columbus GA. We were met by a man from that neighborhood who prayed with us before we began the outreach. We set up an area for the kids to play and others went door to door witnessing and praying for people. It truly was a humbling experience. Another time I got to pray at an abortion clinic which was another humbling experience. The worship services the night before are always dynamic and spirit led. However I will conclude with the best part for me was being an eight week participant of Take the City boot camp. All of the leaders were simply AWESOME and I learned so much during those eight weeks. I thank God for all these wonderful opportunities!
