21 Days of Prayer Devotional
Day 9
Aaron Christian / Psalms 86

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY- PSALM 86:11-13

Teach me your way, O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify Your name forever. For great is Your steadfast love for me; You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol. (Psalms 86:11-13 ESV)

Thought of the day

It is important to look to God for help when we are in the midst of a trial. Aaron mentions his personal story and how this passage showed him to not only ask for help, but seek the Lord to show Him His ways and draw closer to His presence through worship.

Questions to ponder

1.) When was the last time you went through a trial? Do you feel you drew closer to the Lord during this time?

2.) What is a current trial you are going through? When is a good time to meet with God, today, and worship Him in spite of the trial?

Even with only 2 Take the City Outreaches under my belt, they have made such an impact in my own personal journey of faith, and others I have crossed paths with! The most special part to me is knowing that even if I meet someone and I never see them again, I know God has allowed me to touch their heart and plant a seed that I couldn’t have done sitting at home. I’m so thankful for this organization because it truly has allowed me to connect with others, with the goal of bringing them closer to Christ, while becoming closer with God myself at the same time.
