21 Days of Prayer Devotional
Day 10
Rick McCormick / Ephesians 1:18

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY- Ephesians 1:18

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know Him better.” (NIV)

Thought of the day

Rick mentions the thing that stands out most to him about this scripture is the fact that Paul was one of the greatest apostles that ever lived and yet he is seen here praying for others. If we all followed Paul’s example we will all be prayed for by others. What an amazing concept!

Questions to ponder

1.) Do you spend time praying for others?

2.) Who is the Lord leading you to pray for? Ask the Lord to show you.

3.) Take time now, or at some point and pray for them. What is the Lord leading you to pray over them? Write these things down and pray them again later this week and in the days to come.

Donna

My first encounter with Take the City was going to Wilson Apartments in Columbus GA. We were met by a man from that neighborhood who prayed with us before we began the outreach. We set up an area for the kids to play and others went door to door witnessing and praying for people. It truly was a humbling experience. Another time I got to pray at an abortion clinic which was another humbling experience. The worship services the night before are always dynamic and spirit led. However I will conclude with the best part for me was being an eight week participant of Take the City boot camp. All of the leaders were simply AWESOME and I learned so much during those eight weeks. I thank God for all these wonderful opportunities!
