21 Days of Prayer Devotional
Day 15
Brandon McKenzie / John 13

SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY- John 13:23

One of them, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was reclining next to Him (Jesus). (Jn. 13:23 NIV)

Thought for the day

Brandon shares that taking time to simply be with Jesus in a posture of rest can give us endurance and allow us to receive more of His word. John was the only one who didn’t fully abandon Jesus at the cross and He was the longest living disciple. He also received the revelation of the last days and gave us the book of Revelation. Let us be more like John and recline on the Lord in prayer as much as possible.

Questions to ponder

-Do you struggle with simply being with the Lord without an agenda? Take time to ask the Lord to help you with this.

-Do you see yourself as “the one who Jesus loves?”

-When today can you get alone with Jesus? What can you do to put away distractions that you may simply be with Him?

TAKE THE CITY outreaches have been so special to me. I love being able to see the hand of GOD move in peoples lives as they are healed and families restored. GOD cares about every detail of our lives and he reaches the places that only HE can only heal! Its been an honor to see all the teams go out and share the LOVE that GOD has instilled and filled the teams with, and let it pour out to all the community. Having physical needs met also assures all we encounter, the faithfulness of our Father. So many times I have cried seeing what GOD is doing… Being able to see people brought into the KINGDOM and freedom Spirit, Soul, Mind and Body. Is the greatest treasure in my life. I am grateful for TAKE THE CITY allowing me to have front seat and seeing GOD move in peoples lives!
