What is Encounter Outreach?
Take the City is partnering with Every Home for Christ to equip and activate the local believers to see our WHOLE city reached with the GOOD NEWS.
We believe it takes ONE ENCOUNTER WITH GOD to shake up and transform a person’s life, to give hope to the hopeless, restoration to the broken and healing to the hurting.
How can we respond?
We have been given the honor of playing a pivotal role in sharing the Good News with the world, inviting others to experience the saving love of God. When we intentionally interact with the people around us, we see amazing things happen!
Come join us for ENCOUNTER OUTREACH. We will have a time of equipping, activating and sending. As well as a time afterwards to dialogue about what God did during the outreach and how we can implement this in our personal lives.
This event will be in partnership and hosted with “City Gate Church” in Phenix City, AL.

I have been serving in some way with Take the city since October 2013. I spent a lot of time on the prayer team in the beginning and encountered God’s heart for the city in a life changing way. When the teams came back and shared testimonies, it was always fun to see that our prayers coincided with some of their testimonies in special ways. More recently I have had the privilege of leading a team to a nursing home where I used to be an employee. I used to pray over the facility every day, and it was such a miracle to see an old friend who lives there give his life to Jesus on one of our outreaches a year later. God sure has a way of answering prayers. And Take the City is an answer to so many prayers that have gone up here.
