These past few months God has been moving mightily during our meetings and as we’ve reached out to our local community. It’s been exciting to see how God is raising up a company of Christ followers to share the good news of God’s love and reconciliation with our area.
This past month, we were fortunate to have one of our team members, Yvette Turner, donate several boxes full of food to pass out during Take the City. These boxes gave us just enough food to fill a total of 96 bags with each bag able to feed a family of four.
As we gathered together, 108 people were present from 17 different churches from a wide variety of denominations. We sent out 10 teams to various neighborhoods, trailer parks and housing authority developments. Each team was equipped with bags of food to pass out to those in need and to pray with those who need prayer.
Of the +200 people prayed for, 18 people received physical and spiritual healing and 2 people received Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Truly, God is moving amongst us, yet we are just beginning to scratch the surface of how powerful it is when we come together with one mind and one heart as the body of Christ. Our ministries’ hope is to continue operating as a unifying agent here in this area. Our hope is that we might make every effort in keeping the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace for the local church of Columbus Georgia and Phenix City (Eph. 4:3).
May God continue to give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him as we press on towards the high calling in Christ Jesus!
