Harvest Day Testimony

During our Harvest Day Outreach on Saturday July 23rd, one of our teams went into Phenix City, specifically the shopping plaza parking lot on the corner of 13th St. There, the team met a man named Kietel. After starting a conversation with him, the team learned that he was currently homeless. After approximately 30 mins of conversation, Kietel admitted that he wanted help and that he felt the need to accept Jesus as the Savior of the world.

After leading him through a prayer of salvation, our team offered Kietel a chance at a new life by going into a discipleship program where he could get off the streets and be housed as he grows in the Lord. Praise God, he accepted the offer and is now on his journey with Christ.

“Getting to be a part of Take the City was such a blessing both in seeing how God moved in the lives of the people I met as well as how he moved in my heart. I was so encouraged to be surrounded by people willing to passionately pray for their city and the people in it. As we worshipped, people would stop and ask what was going on and we got to talk and pray with them. I felt a greater desire to pray for our nation grow in me as we sang and prayed together.”
