On our first outreach to Victory drive trailer parks we were able to hand out Thanksgiving meals to families in need. During our outreach, we caught a couple as they were about to leave with a friend. We told them we wanted to bless them with a packed Thanksgiving meal. The girlfriend ran over to me and said that they were just on there way to go see if churches could donate them some food for Thanksgiving!

What an answered prayer!

She began to share with us about her life, telling us how she recently had been radically changed by the love of Jesus. She was previously involved in drugs and a really bad relationship, but Jesus gave her a way out. She wanted to be involved in church but had no transportation, so I offered to pick her up for church Sunday.  Before we left we were able to pray a blessing and the love of Jesus over them. The next day they told me they had a radical encounter with Jesus that night after we met them, and that before we met them they were in a bad place and Take the City was an answered prayer!

The Lord has continued to do even more amazing things than I could ever imagine through this couple. Take the City deeply cares for the community and it’s amazing to be apart of the seed being planted, watered, and grown in our community by doing outreach with Take the City. It’s a blessing that I got to meet this couple, and the Lord has so much more in store for them and their neighborhood!
