If I could pick one word for this past outreach, it would be Encouraged. From the testimonies that were shared, almost every outreach team shared an encounter of someone who felt encouraged. For example, a team went to East Wynnton, and a guy that was prayed for exclaimed, “You have no idea how much I needed encouragement today!”. Another woman in Phenix City who was prayed for cried as the Lord ministered to her heart and confirmed the job that she had just received. Next, a man on our prayer team connected with one of our worship leaders. He had been asking God for a pianist to be able to help him put music to the lyrics he had written. The worship leader he connected with was a pianist! We thank God for paving the way for this powerful connection! Lastly, one of the teenagers serving on the team at the Elizabeth Canty Apartments felt inspired by the grandmother they prayed for. The grandmother had been following the Lord for a long time; after she received prayer, her grandkids ran up to her and thanked her for raising them. The teen felt remorse as she had never thanked her own grandmother for raising her. This encounter inspired her to do so when she returned home. We praise Jesus for every story of encouragement this past month!
