Jeff Struecker came on board as a part of the Local Leaders Coalition in August. However, he has served the community for many years as a pastor and teacher and leads 2 Cities Church. He has a heart to share the Gospel with those around him and to serve those in need.

On Saturday October 17, Jeff led a team from Take the City across the river to the Riverview Apartments. He and his team of 7 people connected with SO MANY PEOPLE! Women, children, men, and families. Jeff and his team got to connect with them all. They weren’t totally sure how people would react. Our team maintained social distancing and wore masks but still had a heart to make connections and build community. They had nothing to worry about though, because the neighbors were VERY WELCOMING! They were EXCITED that Jeff and his team came, so much so, that Jeff and his team got to pray for 50 people! A few of the neighbors even let Jeff and his team come into their homes and pray for people inside!

Even with social distancing and the wearing of masks, our neighbors across the river at the Riverview Apartments were open to hearing about Jesus and sharing their needs with our team. Jeff and his team are excited to go back next month and continue to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

“Getting to be a part of Take the City was such a blessing both in seeing how God moved in the lives of the people I met as well as how he moved in my heart. I was so encouraged to be surrounded by people willing to passionately pray for their city and the people in it. As we worshipped, people would stop and ask what was going on and we got to talk and pray with them. I felt a greater desire to pray for our nation grow in me as we sang and prayed together.”
