Revival on the River

Revival on the River celebrates the unity that we have among the churches of the Tri-city area by enjoying a night of music, fellowship, food, and encouraging messages together. We hear from civic leaders speaking on the subject of unity, and we pray for our area. We worship with music groups from local churches that play a wide variety of contemporary christian, gospel music and hymns. The whole event is a time to bring people from various churches and denominations to celebrate our risen savior Jesus Christ. This event is aimed at breaking down the walls of division that has kept the Body of Christ from working together.

Unity Night-96

In 2014-15 we had thousands of people from all over the area come from well over 75 different churches to this event. We saw many people saved, physically healed and forever changed. God is using this event each year to stir up a greater hunger across the area for Jesus and to spark a revival fire that is affecting every sphere of society in our area.

“I was prayed over at the prayer tent during Revival on the River. A couple of weeks later, I received a follow-up call. The Lord timed it perfectly, at a time where all of my friends were out of town, and I was feeling kind-of lonely. The person on the other end of the line not only prayed for me, but quickly connected with me on Facebook and invited me to events that were happening at her church. It was SUCH an expected blessing!”

“Revival on the River was one of the most memorable experiences that I have ever had the pleasure of being apart of. God blew me away!!”

Donna

My first encounter with Take the City was going to Wilson Apartments in Columbus GA. We were met by a man from that neighborhood who prayed with us before we began the outreach. We set up an area for the kids to play and others went door to door witnessing and praying for people. It truly was a humbling experience. Another time I got to pray at an abortion clinic which was another humbling experience. The worship services the night before are always dynamic and spirit led. However I will conclude with the best part for me was being an eight week participant of Take the City boot camp. All of the leaders were simply AWESOME and I learned so much during those eight weeks. I thank God for all these wonderful opportunities!
