911 United in Prayer

September 22, 2016

On Sunday September 11th over 400 people from dozens of local churches in the Chattahoochee Valley area all gathered together to pray for revival in our city and nation. It was truly an unforgettable time as we all worshipped and prayed in unity. God’s presence was so thick and tangible in this gathering. We believe that this gathering was not the end of the 911 United in Prayer initiative but rather the continuation of a mighty prayer movement here in our Valley. If you would like to be involved in this United in Prayer movement please click here and fill out the form. Each month we will send out emails with details about various prayer events happening that you can get involved in. Also, this weekend on Friday night at 6:30pm there will be another special time of worship and united prayer for our community. We would love for you to come and join us at the Teen Challenge building located at 5304 Hurst Dr, Columbus Ga 31901. Below are some pictures from the 9/11 United in Prayer event that was held at Christ Community Church. We want to thank all of the Pastors, Leaders and Churches that participated in this incredible event! Pictures of 9/11 United in Prayer...

I have been serving in some way with Take the city since October 2013. I spent a lot of time on the prayer team in the beginning and encountered God’s heart for the city in a life changing way. When the teams came back and shared testimonies, it was always fun to see that our prayers coincided with some of their testimonies in special ways. More recently I have had the privilege of leading a team to a nursing home where I used to be an employee. I used to pray over the facility every day, and it was such a miracle to see an old friend who lives there give his life to Jesus on one of our outreaches a year later. God sure has a way of answering prayers. And Take the City is an answer to so many prayers that have gone up here.
