REACH ATLANTA

October 30, 2019

Conyers Reach training We had an incredible time in Conyers!!!  There were ten churches represented from five denominations; it was a powerful time with the Body of Christ.  Many were activated in sharing their faith, proclaiming the Gospel, and hearing God’s voice.  We breaked for lunch and then had a quick outreach to put the training into practice. We sent out 8 groups and in less than 2 hours over 40 people received prayer. So many people were impacted by simply going out and doing what they heard: testimony after testimony of everyday believers realizing how easy it actually is to love the one in front of you!!   One person in particular received significant personal breakthrough in their own life as they sat with their outreach team for lunch.  Sometimes we need to receive a deeper revelation of the Father’s Love before we can love the way He loves.  From this training we have launched Reach Groups that will continue to reach Conyers.  We are also planning a follow up meeting for all of the leaders involved with the training to discuss ways to reach Conyers together.   Host a Reach Training The vision of this campaign is to launch hundreds of “Reach Groups” around the cityof Atlanta. We want to see these groups impact communities all over the metro area, resulting in growing local churches! Our team wants to serve local churches all over Atlanta. We have 18opportunities over the next 2 years for churches to host their own Reach Atlantatraining. Each training will gather local churches together to learn how to better reachtheir communities with the gospel. If you...

Reach ATL Equipping Conference

May 10, 2019

Over the next 2 years, Reach Atlanta will host events all over the city to equip the body of Christ for the work of evangelism. Our hope is to train thousands of believers to share the Gospel in their sphere of influence and ‘as they go’. These Reach Atlanta events will be the primary way for us to identify and train outreach leaders for this vision. There will be 18 or more of these events over the next two years and at each of these events, we will offer training with hands-on experience. At each event, there will be experienced outreach leaders who will help in taking the teams out to share the gospel. This is training specifically geared at equipping you to become a Reach Atlanta outreach team leader. With this training, you will be able to come and lead outreaches at any of our future Reach Atlanta events around the metro area. We will have a time of worship and training on Friday night. Then on Saturday, after our morning session, we will give you a chance to practice activating and leading others into...

When Jesus loves on Muslims at a Restaurant: An Eyewitness Account

May 18, 2017

Mariel Villareal has served with Take the City since last June. She serves as the leader for the ministry team at theDoor and often serves as a leader on Take the City Bootcamp weekends, a time of evangelism training to equip people to share the Gospel in there schools, workplaces, and cities. Below is a powerful story on the way to a Bootcamp in South Carolina. We were at a popular restaurant getting ready to leave when Jason comes up to me and says, “I feel like  Jesus told me that one of the women behind us has wrist pain.” I turn to look and see two ladies, a mother and daughter, wearing hijabs sitting at a booth behind us. Nothing about their appearance suggested that they were in any kind of pain. “Wanna go talk to them?” I thought about it for a moment and replied, “Let’s do it!” We walked up to the table and introduced ourselves. The two women were very warm and kind, and they told us they were from Iraq. The younger was a daughter in her 30s with her mother who only spoke Arabic. After a few moments of conversation, Jason boldly asks them, “Does one of you have wrist pain?” The mother and daughter exchanged puzzled looks, “How did you know that?! My mother has had wrist pain for about a month!” Jason responded, “Jesus told me because he wants to heal you! Can we pray for you?” The daughter translated to her mother, “Yes!” They replied. We prayed and the pain left by 50%. We prayed again and the lady said the pain...

Stephanie

TTC led me out of darkness and into the love I’ve longed for my entire life, the love of JESUS.  They’ve taught me to love like Jesus by walking out my created purpose.  My Spirit has been healed, I am whole, because of their obedience to do God’s will.  They have introduced me to and welcomed me into a powerful tribe of women that love Jesus with their whole heart.  Women that strengthen, teach, support, and encourage one another with the power and authority given by the Holy Spirit.  I am eternally grateful for their ministry and humbled to be called family.
