Project LifeHouse // Impacting Lives in Columbus, Georgia

November 30, 2020

Our ministry is seeing incredible things happen in the East Highland Neighborhood of Columbus, Georgia. We have launched a community-driven food drive that is a part of our Project Lifehouse initiative’s efforts in the community. This is just one example of what God is doing in our city! The Bedsole Family moved from Oregon to come and serve in our city and to live in one of our missionary homes. They are excited to help partner with the neighbors in this community to help encourage and empower those living there to see redemption and restoration of the area. It’s amazing how we’re seeing dignity restored to the area as the community is coming together and serving! Take the City is excited to be partnering with churches and businesses from all over the Chattahoochee Valley area to work towards transforming 10 neighborhoods in our area. The goal of “Project LifeHouse” is to fix up homes in impoverished areas and then place families and individuals in those areas to bring hope and transformation. We plan to do this through consistent service projects, outreaches, and by sharing the love of Christ while living there. Thanksgiving Food Drive

We’re so excited to announce that this year we’re doing something special for families this Thanksgiving. In coordination with 107.7 The Truth and many local churches we’re having a food drive where we will pack food and then take it and deliver food to 500 needy families in various communities. Through this effort we will have an opportunity to build new relationships with families in the areas we have been serving through this food drive!

3 Ways to help with the Thanksgiving Food Drive:

  1. GIVE: Donate dry/ canned foods or Give $50 (Designate for Thanksgiving) – The drop off is Thursday November 10th at 5304 Hurst Drive, Columbus, GA. Click here to give.
  2. PACK: Help fill bags with all the donated food. We will pack up the food and pray together on Friday night November 11th at 6pm.
  3. GO!: Help us go out and give away the food to families. We will meet on Saturday November 12th at 12:30pm.
