Christmas Toy Drive – Chattahoochee Valley Outreach

December 28, 2020

First of all, thank you to everyone who donated presents towards our Christmas Toy Drive and came and wrapped presents! Our goal was 60 presents, and we were able, to instead, bless 180+ children for Christmas! The joy on the children’s faces as they opened their gifts Saturday December 19th was truly priceless. Thank you. Along with the wrapped presents, we were able to give out a few more things. One, we were able to bless 10 families of four with homemade Christmas dinners provided by an all-natural restaurant on 2nd Ave. Secondly, we were able to give out 316 candy canes with the message “Nothing you confess could make Jesus love you less” on them. Thirdly, we gave out several Gospels of John. Every gift was a gift of blessing and hope. In total, we sent out five teams in Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL Saturday December 19th. During those outreaches, one little 3rd grade girl gave her life to Christ and received a children’s Bible, 4 people were physically healed, and many people were prayed for. Each team returned to Take the City with plenty to share about what God did in their neighborhoods. We are thankful for how the community came together to share the love of Jesus and bless our neighbors with practical needs. God is so good.If you would like to go out on outreach or volunteer with our local outreaches, please email...

Bradley Circle Community Christmas Party

January 31, 2020

How do you and your family like to celebrate the Birth of our Savior Jesus Christ? Meals, Christmas carols, presents, and a sharing of the story of the coming of the Christ child? Andrew and Ellen Chalmers, our Lifehouse missionaries, along with Pastor Chuck Hasty and their Grace Presbyterian church community partners put on an old fashioned Christmas celebration to be remembered! They began by canvassing their community to pass out personal and written invitations to join their party on December 23. Prior to the party, Ellen and Andrew hosted the Bradley Circle children for a coloring contest to prepare decorations for the party and bake some of Ellen’s amazing cookies. Grace Presbyterian joined with RiverTown Church to buy presents for the community. The Bradley Circle LifeHouse was filled with 30+ of the community plus a large group from Grace Presbyterian in an evening of good food, fellowship, and present opening. Pastor Chuck then shared a Christmas devotional with the group and invited all to join in a community caroling outing to end this celebration of the birth of our Savior.  The evening concluded with caroling from house to house in the Bradley Circle community bringing glad tidings of the coming of God’s peace and goodwill to all mankind at the Birth of Jesus Christ- Emmanuel, God with us and for us! Reminds this writer of an old fashion Walton Christmas celebration… You can experience the joy of this community LifeHouse celebration by watching the video below: Louis A. Chalmers, Jr, LifeHouse Director...
