The Beautiful Exchange Boutique Continues to Transform Lives

October 1, 2022

The Beautiful Exchange Boutique Continues to Transform Lives We have seen amazing impact this month at the Beautiful Exchange Boutique. Our team got to witness to two ladies, and both surrendered their lives to Jesus. A mother got restored back to her children with full custody after years of struggling with addiction. Lastly, we got to help a homeless woman living in a tent receive approval for a housing voucher for one year! Praise God!  The clothing donations have poured in thanks to many people’s generosity.  There are still volunteer opportunities Tuesday through Thursday for women who would be interested in sharing their story with hurting women, leading a small group, helping sort donations, and/or making outreach bags. As of last Monday, we have begun to offer weekly inner healing sessions each Monday at 10 am. All women are welcome to come heal with us in a safe space.  If you would like more information, please email...

Project Lifehouse – Stories from the Stewarts

August 30, 2022

Project Lifehouse - Stories from the Stewarts Neighborly Love Mason and Meghan Stewart have served in the Bradley Circle neighborhood as missionaries for a little over a year. They have been able to connect with their neighbors by providing meals and cookies, sharing lawn equipment, and offering car rides as often as they can. The connections have paved the way for Meghan and Mason to pray and share Jesus with several neighbors as many have gone through hard times recently. One neighbor has really opened up, and Mason and Meghan are encouraging more comfort and healing by getting them connected with Celebrate Recovery. Another powerful way the connections have made a difference is the fellowship the Stewarts have had with one woman in their neighborhood. MercyMed reached out to Meghan and Mason saying that they had a job opening. They wanted to especially partner with their work in the community and see if they could help out one of the neighbors that Mason and Meghan served. One such woman filled out the application, interviewed, and now has a steady, reliable job where she is surrounded by believers. The Lord is so good! Garden and Family Outings In other news, Meghan and Mason have also served faithfully in the upkeep of the community garden, which has blessed several neighbors. Along with their kids, Meghan and Mason had the joy of going around the neighborhood and passing out tons of green beans, tomatoes, kale, and zucchini. Recently, one of their neighbors stopped his car and told Meghan that it just blessed him to see Meghan and her family out and about,...

Redeem – So Much Impact

Redeem - So Much Impact Redeem has had an awesome month! The Beautiful Exchange was able to impact 17 ladies and had seven weekly volunteers. We have had the privilege and honor of working with Kelley Love, who has been a faithful intern this summer. She threw a beautiful Tea Party for the ladies in our community, and she has been such a huge blessing to us! We pray many blessings over her as she returns to the University of North Georgia to continue her degree in sociology with a minor in psychology. Other highlights this month include the following praise reports from our ladies: Dawn started a new job; Carrie was approved for housing; and Shelly started college. The relationship between Shelly and her son has even been restored! Praise the Lord that He is answering our prayers! Finally, if you would like to donate to the Beautiful Exchange Boutique, our current needs are body wash, soap, body spray, hairbrushes, large print Bibles, and first aid supplies. Thank you for continuing to partner with us whether in prayer, donations, or spending time with us and the ladies. We appreciate you! If you would like to be more involved, please email...

Harvest House of Prayer – How to Satisfy Your Hunger for God

August 29, 2022

Harvest House of Prayer - How to Satisfy Your Hunger for God Have you ever felt an uncommon hunger for God that no amount of corporate gatherings could satisfy? There are times when the Lord beckons us deeper into the secret place of prayer. There are seasons when the only thing that seems to fill our hearts’ desire is to be alone with Him, one-on-one. I have experienced this on multiple occasions in my own walk with the Lord. In my early days of Christianity, I would seek to fulfill this longing by any means possible except by going to the Lord in my secret place. As I matured, I learned that when this desire strikes my heart, the only thing that really satisfies my longing for Him… is Him.  Although that answer may seem obvious, it can be difficult to realize! After all, there are so many other things we can find to occupy our time other than the Lord Himself. So many other things clammer for our attention. But when an uncommon hunger for God arises in the human spirit only one thing will satisfy it. What I’ve discovered is that only God can satisfy hunger for God! I believe many of you that are reading this have sensed this hunger in your own lives. In this blog, I want to give you three big keys to discovering God in the secret place of personal devotion to Jesus. Get Alone with God Jesus stated in Matthew (v. 6:6) that when we pray we should “go into [our] room, shut the door, and pray to [our] Father…” (NIV)....

Project Lifehouse – Let the Little Children Come

August 2, 2022

Project Lifehouse - Let the Little Children Come Brandon and Kristina began showing the Chosen series as a form of outreach in their neighborhood. Before they knew what was happening, tons of kids were showing up each week and they had to switch up their plans! They started offering interactive games and a mini-Bible story lesson instead. As they kept going, the Lord began to soften the children’s hearts, and at the end of the eight weeks, four kids prayed the prayer of salvation. Since then, two girls have been showing up almost daily to hang out with Brandon and Kristina and their kids. They are yearning for more of the Lord, fun, and family, and that is exactly what Brandon and Kristina have to offer. The girls even went on a daytrip with Brandon and Kristina and their family to Callaway Gardens. The Lord is moving on these girls’ hearts, and they are experiencing joy, peace, and freedom. Please pray for Brandon and Kristina and their family as they continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus in their neighborhood and for these girls to know Jesus more and...

Tyrone

I learned about Take The City through a young lady at our church about 5 years ago and after going on my first outreach, I was HOOKED. I fell in love with the family environment, organic evangelism, and genuine love that I experience here.  The training, connections, and opportunities that I’ve been blessed with here have been nothing short of life-changing!  God bless my TTC family.
