HopeStory: A Life touched by the love of God

September 11, 2015

During a Take the City one month we sent teams all over the area to give away girl scout cookies and to share the gospel. One of our teams drove past a house with a bunch of people out on the front porch and decided to stop and ask if they wanted cookies. All the people at the house quickly responded that they would love some cookies so our team got out and began to give them out to everyone there. Then our team was able to begin talking with them and one of the women who lived there named Lucretia told our team that she didn’t believe in God and that she was addicted to drugs. Our team was then able to encourage her and I was able to share my own testimony of overcoming addiction through the power of Jesus Christ. As I shared my story she began to cry as God began to work in her heart and give her hope that things could change. After I got done with my story I asked if anyone wanted to give their lives to Jesus and have their lives changed by Him. Take the City has had a huge impact on me and my daughter. When God led me from one place, this door was wide opened. I had the great ability to experience more of God and see the signs that follow them that believed. *Mark 16:17-20*

The people I've met have showed soooooo much love to us and I'm grateful for that. Not only do they teach on truth, but they walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and encourage others around them to do so also!
God has also allowed me to be a part of a ministry as well.
I want to say thank you thank you God first and thank you to Take the City!!❤
