United in Prayer

July 19, 2019

What is United in Prayer? United in Prayer is an initiative of Take the City which unifies local believers for worship and intercession to prepare the way for lives to be transformed by the love and power of Jesus. Come join us as we intercede for the Chattahoochee Valley! What does the Church need today? “What the Church needs to-day is not more machinery or better, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but men whom the Holy Ghost can use — men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. Washington D.C. Testimony!

September 1, 2016

This summer, we offered an internship program called Occupy for high school and college students. Occupy is a 6-week program that is geared toward helping students grow in their identity and intimacy with God by going deeper in the Word of God, prayer, and evangelism. We offer the opportunity for students to learn the backbones of ministry by working closely with Take the City staff in administration, social media, and videography. While in the program, the students took a trip to Washington D.C. to pray for people on the streets, share the Gospel, and participate in an event called Together 2016. Here is a testimony from one of our students named Sean: “The trip to Washington D.C. was exciting and an experience I won’t ever forget. I had fun not knowing where God was going to lead me or knowing what was gonna happen next but trusting that whatever it was, it was going to be good. God showed me that when I follow him everything works out just as he plans, and his plans are inevitable and unstoppable. I can’t always identify what God is trying to show me, but I feel his presence, and it feels wonderful, like a roller coaster ride that never ends, a high that can take me further than the clouds or the stars. His love has given me so much to look forward to!   Over and over again, I got to experience being filled up by His joy and giving it out to complete strangers. I loved being able to pray for people and felt overjoyed by the goodness of God when people appreciated me stopping to...

Stephanie

TTC led me out of darkness and into the love I’ve longed for my entire life, the love of JESUS.  They’ve taught me to love like Jesus by walking out my created purpose.  My Spirit has been healed, I am whole, because of their obedience to do God’s will.  They have introduced me to and welcomed me into a powerful tribe of women that love Jesus with their whole heart.  Women that strengthen, teach, support, and encourage one another with the power and authority given by the Holy Spirit.  I am eternally grateful for their ministry and humbled to be called family.
