Main Points o   Covenants are a common theme throughout the whole Bible. o   A covenant is simply a way to define the terms of a relationship. It is an agreement from all parties. o   Typically, a covenant has some sort of initiation. Examples include meals, sacrifices, and ceremonies. o   From the very beginning God uses covenants, or promises, to interact with mankind. o   When God makes covenants or promises to His people, He always keeps them. o   Covenants tend to use “if/then” statements. God promises to bless His people, as long as they do as He has asked. “Getting to be a part of Take the City was such a blessing both in seeing how God moved in the lives of the people I met as well as how he moved in my heart. I was so encouraged to be surrounded by people willing to passionately pray for their city and the people in it. As we worshipped, people would stop and ask what was going on and we got to talk and pray with them. I felt a greater desire to pray for our nation grow in me as we sang and prayed together.”
