REFLECTING ON THE 21 DAYS OF PRAYER

February 1, 2022

Reflecting on the 21 Days of Prayer From January 1st through the 21st we gathered in our prayer room every single night for our annual “Selah” fast. Reflecting on this season of fasting and prayer, I am simply blown away by the turnout we saw from our community. Last year we averaged about 10 people every night, at the most. This year we had an average of 26 people with a minimum of 13 and a maximum of 67! Many new friends were made as people who had never heard of us before got a chance to come pray with us and experience our culture here at Take the City and Harvest House of Prayer.  Powerful Worship Moments Something I noticed during this time was the powerful times of worship we experienced together. Many times, the Lord simply took over as the band stopped playing and we sang to Jesus with just our voices. All the musicians did an excellent job being in tune with what God wanted to do each night. On night 10 we even received a surprise visit from Eddie James, with the musicians and singers in the room receiving a special fatherly blessing from Eddie at the end. Needless to say, it was a very special time in the Lord that I personally will not be forgetting anytime soon! “Bible Reading” a Success! One of my favorite things to do during this fast is to come and read the scriptures and listen to others as they read aloud. We had 33 volunteers who helped us read through the entire Bible. We finished on day 20...

Redeem – W.A.R. Weekend – Worship And Reformation

November 5, 2019

This month we hosted our FIRST EVER W.A.R. Weekend in Opelika, Alabama. W.A.R. Weekend’s consist of continuous prayer, worship and outreach at a hotel that our teams have found to be rampant with trafficking and prostitution. We believe that the issue of human trafficking will be eradicated as the Gospel goes forth in every city, and the body of Christ is equipped to reach men and women in their very own city. Our team saw many lives impacted, saved and touched by the love of Jesus! The following is one special encounter. One of our leaders in Opelika had been ministering to a lady she reached through their online outreaches. Lo and behold, the woman was staying in the room RIGHT ABOVE US while we were worshiping and interceding over the hotel!!! She texted our leader asking if she could join us. The leader of course said yes! When she joined them, there was a precious moment where she was able to encounter the presence of the Lord and His pursuit on her heart. She was able to do this in the very place she has been surviving by performing services for men. Wow! What beauty! Jesus longs to meet us where we are! We don’t have to clean up for Him. We simply need to come to Him and that is what this woman did. Jesus is so in love with these women and desires for them to know how worthy and valued they are. We are still in contact with many of the women we encountered and hope to see them discipled and brought into our loving...

Stephanie

TTC led me out of darkness and into the love I’ve longed for my entire life, the love of JESUS.  They’ve taught me to love like Jesus by walking out my created purpose.  My Spirit has been healed, I am whole, because of their obedience to do God’s will.  They have introduced me to and welcomed me into a powerful tribe of women that love Jesus with their whole heart.  Women that strengthen, teach, support, and encourage one another with the power and authority given by the Holy Spirit.  I am eternally grateful for their ministry and humbled to be called family.
