United in Prayer – Chattahoochee Valley

May 17, 2019

What is United in Prayer? United in Prayer is an initiative of Take the City which unifies local believers for worship and intercession to prepare the way for lives to be transformed by the love and power of Jesus. What does the Church need today? “What the Church needs to-day is not more machinery or better, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but men whom the Holy Ghost can use — men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. The Holy Ghost does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men — men of prayer.” ― E.M. Bounds, Power Through...

Washington D.C. Testimony!

September 23, 2016

This summer, we offered an internship program called Occupy for high school and college students. Occupy is a 6-week program that is geared toward helping students grow in their identity and intimacy with God by going deeper in the Word of God, prayer, and evangelism. The internship offers the opportunity for students to learn the backbones of ministry by working closely with Take the City staff in administration, social media, and videography. While in the program, the students took a trip to Washington D.C. to pray for people on the streets, share the Gospel, and participate in an event called Together 2016. Here is a testimony from one of our students named Ashley: “During our time in D.C. we had the opportunity to pray and worship with the founder of Men for All Nations, Dick Simmons.  We had the privilege of praying in Dick’s personal prayer room called the “War Room,” which is located in the upper room of his apartment and beautifully overlooks the supreme court.  While we were praying, I started to feel God’s presence more and more. I began praying over two of our leaders, Bryan and Kursti.  I noticed when I prayed for an anointing to rest over their lives, my whole body would get hot.  Whenever I would stray away from what the Lord was showing me, my body would get colder.  I’m amazed at how God continues to reveal Himself as a supernatural God. Experiencing this has opened my eyes to a new level of discernment in the place of intercession.   Amongst the many amazing experiences I’ve had with God, I must share this last one. During our trip...

Occupy Testimony!

September 9, 2016

This summer, we offered an internship program called Occupy for high school and college students. Occupy is a 6-week program that is geared toward helping students grow in their identity and intimacy with God by going deeper in the Word of God, prayer, and evangelism. The internship offers the opportunity for students to learn the backbones of ministry by working closely with Take the City staff in administration, social media, and videography. The following is a testimony of what God did in one of our interns while in the program. “I’m really thankful for Occupy. It has been an answered prayer for me. I’m 21 yrs old and the church that I attend has a youth group completely made up of teenagers. I have learned so much and I have matured in so many areas in my life because of them, which is great. However, I’ve always had a desire in my heart to meet students my own age who carry a love and a passion for Christ.  In Occupy, I found that!  These past 3 weeks in Occupy have been a really awesome time of fellowship and learning. We’ve learned about identity, intimacy, and authority from pastors around the local area. Each topic was so refreshing and inspiring.  The teachings encouraged me and reminded me that”greater is He living in me than he who is living in the world,” 1 John 4:4. – Manuel Maldonado This is just one testimony of many more to come! TTC led me out of darkness and into the love I’ve longed for my entire life, the love of JESUS.  They’ve taught me to love like Jesus by walking out my created purpose.  My Spirit has been healed, I am whole, because of their obedience to do God’s will.  They have introduced me to and welcomed me into a powerful tribe of women that love Jesus with their whole heart.  Women that strengthen, teach, support, and encourage one another with the power and authority given by the Holy Spirit.  I am eternally grateful for their ministry and humbled to be called family.
