Because You Give...One Woman's Life Has Been Changed Forever Dear friends, Jennesee Dean is now in the Army. That’s a big deal because it had been her dream since participating in JROTC in the 9th grade. That dream, while not crushed, succumbed to life’s pressures and choices which left Jennesee facing probation and needing to complete community service hours. Enter Take the City. Faithfully serving at least once a week through the Redeem Boutique, she not only successfully completed the requirement, but her fines were rescinded and she was released from probation six months early! Sitting in Harvest Coffee one day with Redeem’s coordinator, Cindy Gardner sharing the tasks she still had ahead of her, Jennesee was approached by a frequent HC customer and friend of TTC. He offered to help her accomplish her list, including obtaining a copy of her Social Security card. The customer also invited her to join in on an outreach led by college students who were handing out food & clothes in Auburn. “It was the first time I’d ever done anything like that,” Jennesee said. “Now my relationship with God has become stronger and I pray more.” To Take the City, that’s a big deal. Redeem – The Beautiful Exchange Boutique

Redeem - The Beautiful Exchange Boutique It has been an amazing month for Redeem! The ladies from Teen Challenge came to help us clean up and get everything in order to re-launch the Beautiful Exchange Boutique. We had a great turn out at the Grand Opening. We had about 45 people show up to help us pray over and sow love into the Beautiful Exchange! We have already been able to help and minister to 12 ladies so far this month, including an entire family who rededicated their lives to Jesus! Beyond our boutique, our monthly outreach was a very powerful time out on the streets of Columbus!  The Church of the Highlands serve team helped sew and fill outreach bags for us to give out to ladies. Furthermore, we met a family at a hotel in town and were able to lead the mom and her 5 kids to the Lord! The Lord is doing amazing things through this ministry, and we are just so excited to see what is to come! Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Redeem - Seeing God's Love in Tangible Ways During our Friday night outreach, our team was able to pray for a woman named Shaniece at a local strip club. She specifically asked prayer for her marriage. Two weeks later, Shaniece contacted us with a praise report! Her husband came home, reuniting their little family, and on top of that, they are going back to church! God is so good! At Harvest Coffee one day, Ms. Dorris stopped in at the prompting of the Holy Spirit. She asked if there was any way we could help her with a shower since her water had been shut off a week ago. What do you know?! We had just finished getting our new shower installed, cleaned, and ready to receive people by that morning! On top of getting a shower, we were able to give her fresh clothes in just her size. The Lord provided for her every need. This is just the beginning of loving these women through our boutique: The Beautiful Exchange.  All are welcome to our Grand Opening July 12 at 11 am at Take the City.  Come and help us pray over this new space and celebrate what God is doing! Redeem – Renovations are Under Way!

Redeem - Renovation are Under Way! All Money Raised! Redeem is very happy to announce that our luncheon raised all the funds we were needing to remodel our clothing closet into a boutique for ladies in our community! Renovations began this past month and are continuing. We plan to have a big Grand Opening once The Beautiful Exchange is fully ready for the ladies. April Outreach Recap Our April outreach went really well. We had 18 volunteers go out and hit the streets of Columbus and Phenix City! We passed out care bags and roses, and there were many powerful encounters! We were able to help a husband and wife who were sleeping in their car find safe housing. One of our ladies celebrated one year of sobriety and stability after years of addiction and homelessness! We were also able to pray with multiple ladies and had three salvations! Mother’s Day Outreach This past Friday, we received many blessings. Praise Ministry Tabernacle catered our dinner for our volunteers. We received a very powerful teaching on the prophetic gift by guest speaker Mariel Villarreal. Church of the Highlands put together many Mother’s day gifts for us to give out to the ladies. When we went out, we were able to minister to 25-30 people and have extensive ministry time with several ladies that are usually one-minute encounters! We are glorifying Jesus for all He has done! Redeem – Abundance

Redeem - Abundance We are overwhelmed by God’s abundance! On Monday February 28th, we held a fundraising brunch filled with women from across the local community to share fresh vision for the future of Redeem. During the brunch, Cindy shared how God set her free through the efforts of Redeem, and how the Lord has now used her to minister to multiple women through our women’s clothing closet. During the last year, the Lord stirred Cindy to dream about a renovation in the women’s clothing closet, a renovation that would transform our Clothing Closet into a boutique style resource center where rescued women not only feel safe but sense the intrinsic value of their womanhood. To make this dream a reality, our goal was to raise $30,000 for the renovation. By the Lord’s grace and many generous hearts, we received OVER $30,000! Thank you all so much for pouring into the hearts of these women through your prayers and financial support! We are beyond grateful and can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for the women that will walk through our doors in the coming months and years. 9/11 United in Prayer

You are invited to join together with others in the Body of Christ in fasting and prayer to cry out for America to turn back to God and to experience a great awakening. This united time of fasting and prayer will take place from August 1st until September 11th. This year marks the 15th year since the 9/11 terrorist attacks and this is a call for Christians to band together to see our nation changed.

The current condition of America is alarming to many and we feel an urgent need to fast and pray together. We have tried everything else and it has not worked so now it is time for us as the Body of Christ to turn to God in fasting and prayer for our nation. Desperate situations call for desperate measures. We are facing a desperate situation and we must come together and seek God if we desire to see our nation change.

Here are 3 Ways you can join in with this critical initiative:

PRAY – Commit to pray for these 40 days for our nation. This can be done in the quietness of your home or you can gather with others from your church or small groups. This commitment is that you will pray at least 1 hour each day for 40 days for our nation.

FAST – Commit to fast for these 40 days as the Lord leads you. Some will fast from eating food, meats, sweets, TV and Entertainment. No matter what God leads you to do make a firm commitment to set aside the things of this world to allow God to purify your own life and to empower you in the place of prayer.

GATHER – Commit to come on Sunday September 11th to our 911 United in Prayer gathering. This will be a powerful time where we will gather together to pray for our nation and for each other. THE TIME AND LOCATION IS STILL TO BE DETERMINED. Please sign up below for updates.
