Redeem – End Human Trafficking

August 27, 2020

Together, we will see an end. This year, we have seen our community come together like never before, unified in our efforts to reach and help the vulnerable and broken. Kathryn Guthrie, our Opelika Outreach Director, has built a remarkable relationship with one of the local motel employees. Through this connection, Kathryn and our Redeem team have been able to impact over 20 women! Upon meeting Kathryn, one of the women rededicated her life to Jesus and had a huge desire to be baptized!! It was such a powerful moment in her life! Among all the women, we are building relationships with them. By way of many generous friends, we have been able to provide food boxes, clothes, and toiletries for them. Some of the women have even chosen to begin the journey into long term programs! God is so good!  Discipleship is being birthed in motels, streets and brothels. Many girls reach out and call our hotline just to receive prayer! We believe that if the community comes together to help these women, we will see a mass exodus! We are praying for the Lord to continue to move in power as we reach them! -Jessica Cronin, Director of Redeem If you would like to be more involved with Redeem, email...

Prayer request from Redeem Outreach- Ashley!

May 18, 2017

The following information is a urgent prayer request that occurred on one of our Redeem sex trafficking outreaches. The names have been changed to protect the victims identity. Redeem exist to see the eradication of sex trafficking through intervention and cultural revolution. While on a recent outreach, we encountered a young lady who looked very battered and broken. As our team approached her, a man looked out of a hotel room, seeming to be frustrated and alarmed. (He saw our van and did not know what was going on) He asked “Is everything ok?”, we replied, “Yes” and continued to talk to the young lady. She told us her name and confided in us about her problems with being physically abused and would like prayers for that; she would not let on that she needed help but said she has friends who are active in prostitution and she can pass on the hotline card to them. So we encouraged her to call if she ever felt the need to get out of her situation. We were also able to pray with her and bring the hope of Jesus Christ into her life. We believe that her life is forever changed and will be transformed from this one encounter with Jesus. Please pray that Ashley will call the hotline and find the freedom and restoration! Thank you so much for your faithful support and prayers; we could not do it without you! Please check out takethecity.com/redeem and see more of what we do and how you can help. (The picture below is not an actual picture of Ashley but is very close to the...
