Prayer request from Redeem Outreach- Ashley!

May 18, 2017

The following information is a urgent prayer request that occurred on one of our Redeem sex trafficking outreaches. The names have been changed to protect the victims identity. Redeem exist to see the eradication of sex trafficking through intervention and cultural revolution. While on a recent outreach, we encountered a young lady who looked very battered and broken. As our team approached her, a man looked out of a hotel room, seeming to be frustrated and alarmed. (He saw our van and did not know what was going on) He asked “Is everything ok?”, we replied, “Yes” and continued to talk to the young lady. She told us her name and confided in us about her problems with being physically abused and would like prayers for that; she would not let on that she needed help but said she has friends who are active in prostitution and she can pass on the hotline card to them. So we encouraged her to call if she ever felt the need to get out of her situation. We were also able to pray with her and bring the hope of Jesus Christ into her life. We believe that her life is forever changed and will be transformed from this one encounter with Jesus. Please pray that Ashley will call the hotline and find the freedom and restoration! Thank you so much for your faithful support and prayers; we could not do it without you! Please check out takethecity.com/redeem and see more of what we do and how you can help. (The picture below is not an actual picture of Ashley but is very close to the...

United In Prayer

What is United in Prayer?

United in Prayer is an initiative of Take the City which unifies local believers for worship and intercession to prepare the way for lives to be transformed by the love and power of Jesus.

What does the Church need today?

“What the Church needs to-day is not more machinery or better, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but men whom the Holy Ghost can use — men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. The Holy Ghost does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men — men of prayer.”
