Announcing Take the City Conference 2017

July 19, 2017

I am beyond excited to announce to you that we are hosting our 2nd ever Take the City Conference coming up this September 21-23rd here in Columbus, GA. The mission of our ministry is to see the body of Christ unified and mobilized to see cities revitalized. We are passionate about seeing christians of all ages, races and creeds equipped to reach their neighborhoods, workplaces and cities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This year at the Take the City Conference our singular focus is that we would all become better equipped to bring the transforming power of God’s Kingdom into our schools, neighborhoods, workplaces and the cities we live in. We believe that if you come to the Take the City Conference that you will never be the same! What you can expect from the TTC Conference: The weekend is going to be filled with incredible times of worship, clear and relevant teachings and powerful encounters with God’s presence. You will not only receive information but will also have an opportunity throughout the weekend to put into practice what you have heard. One of our featured speakers is author and evangelist, Chris Overstreet. He is the Outreach Pastor at Bethel Church in Redding, CA. Chris is the author of the book, A Practical Guide to Evangelism Supernaturally and is featured in the christian documentary film, Finger of God. Also, we’re so excited to be hosting international speaker Robby Dawkins again this year for the conference as well. God is Raising up an Army

June 13, 2016

These past few months God has been moving mightily during our meetings and as we’ve reached out to our local community.  It’s been exciting to see how God is raising up a company of Christ followers to share the good news of God’s love and reconciliation with our area. This past month, we were fortunate to have one of our team members, Yvette Turner, donate several boxes full of food to pass out during Take the City. These boxes gave us just enough food to fill a total of 96 bags with each bag able to feed a family of four. As we gathered together, 108 people were present from 17 different churches from a wide variety of denominations. We sent out 10 teams to various neighborhoods, trailer parks and housing authority developments. Each team was equipped with bags of food to pass out to those in need and to pray with those who need prayer. Of the +200 people prayed for, 18 people received physical and spiritual healing and 2 people received Christ as their Lord and Savior. Truly, God is moving amongst us, yet we are just beginning to scratch the surface of how powerful it is when we come together with one mind and one heart as the body of Christ. Our ministries’ hope is to continue operating as a unifying agent here in this area. Our hope is that we might make every effort in keeping the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace for the local church of Columbus Georgia and Phenix City (Eph. 4:3). May God continue to give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him as we press on towards the high calling in...

Brittany

I have been serving in some way with Take the city since October 2013. I spent a lot of time on the prayer team in the beginning and encountered God’s heart for the city in a life changing way. When the teams came back and shared testimonies, it was always fun to see that our prayers coincided with some of their testimonies in special ways. More recently I have had the privilege of leading a team to a nursing home where I used to be an employee. I used to pray over the facility every day, and it was such a miracle to see an old friend who lives there give his life to Jesus on one of our outreaches a year later. God sure has a way of answering prayers. And Take the City is an answer to so many prayers that have gone up here.
