“Today, I believe I stepped into my destiny!” – Cindy

May 27, 2020

Transformation follows surrender. Many of you know Cindy! Jesus has radically touched her heart over the years. She has overcome SO much in her life and is now helping other women out of the life of addiction and off the streets! It is truly a beautiful sight to see the way she so selflessly loves each and every woman that she encounters. Just her testimony to these women gives them hope for their future! When Cindy fully surrendered everything, she had no idea what Jesus had in store for her! The blessings just keep coming and coming in her life.  She is now in the process of becoming the Clothing Closet Coordinator for our women’s ministry! She has already impacted many lives through the process of getting our closet ready for action. After one day of helping 4 women, she tells us, as she chokes back tears, “Today, I believe I stepped into my destiny!”  That day, Charlotte, one of the four women, made the brave decision to go to a long term treatment! Let’s continue to pray for her journey to freedom. We are so thankful for all of those who have donated clothes, hygiene products and food to further our reach to women in addiction, prostitution & trafficking. These precious gifts are a direct message of the beautiful exchange Jesus showed us on the cross & by His...

Young teens answer the call to salvation

May 20, 2016

Here’s a short testimony about Melissa Chatman and her youth group’s experience at Revival on the River. “We travelled from Albany to Columbus, which took us about an hour drive. Upon arriving we ate our free Chick-fil-a meals. After eating we told the kids they could roam around but not to leave past the gates. Well, of course being young, they ended up going past the gates.  When I found them, they were way down the river walking on the path. And yes, they were in trouble.  But we decided to give them a second chance (Isn’t that what we are supposed to do?).   Anyways they sat on the brick wall down toward the front of the amphitheater. In my mind I was thinking these kids aren’t paying any attention at all. They think it’s social time.   When it came time for the invitation, even then they didn’t seem to be paying attention.  But something happened.  All of a sudden I looked and I saw two of our boys down front.  Then another followed. We all were ecstatic and began praising Jesus.  That night, several gave their hearts to Jesus and one of our boys was baptized. We’ve never seen them get so excited for Jesus. It truly goes to show that the Holy Spirit can work in someone’s life even when they seem like they’re not paying attention.   This whole experience has changed our lives forever! We will never be the same.  Thank you for all the hard work and dedication you guys put into this...

United In Prayer

What is United in Prayer?
United in Prayer is an initiative of Take the City which unifies local believers for worship and intercession to prepare the way for lives to be transformed by the love and power of Jesus.

What does the Church need today?
“What the Church needs to-day is not more machinery or better, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but men whom the Holy Ghost can use — men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. The Holy Ghost does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men — men of prayer.”

― E.M. Bounds, Power Through Prayer
