Prayer request from Redeem Outreach- Ashley!

May 18, 2017

The following information is a urgent prayer request that occurred on one of our Redeem sex trafficking outreaches. The names have been changed to protect the victims identity. Redeem exist to see the eradication of sex trafficking through intervention and cultural revolution. While on a recent outreach, we encountered a young lady who looked very battered and broken. As our team approached her, a man looked out of a hotel room, seeming to be frustrated and alarmed. (He saw our van and did not know what was going on) He asked “Is everything ok?”, we replied, “Yes” and continued to talk to the young lady. She told us her name and confided in us about her problems with being physically abused and would like prayers for that; she would not let on that she needed help but said she has friends who are active in prostitution and she can pass on the hotline card to them. So we encouraged her to call if she ever felt the need to get out of her situation. We were also able to pray with her and bring the hope of Jesus Christ into her life. We believe that her life is forever changed and will be transformed from this one encounter with Jesus. Please pray that Ashley will call the hotline and find the freedom and restoration! Thank you so much for your faithful support and prayers; we could not do it without you! Please check out takethecity.com/redeem and see more of what we do and how you can help. Even with only 2 Take the City Outreaches under my belt, they have made such an impact in my own personal journey of faith, and others I have crossed paths with! The most special part to me is knowing that even if I meet someone and I never see them again, I know God has allowed me to touch their heart and plant a seed that I couldn’t have done sitting at home. I’m so thankful for this organization because it truly has allowed me to connect with others, with the goal of bringing them closer to Christ, while becoming closer with God myself at the same time.
