We can transform a city!

August 7, 2015

We can transform a city…  The idea that we can actually transform an entire city can at times seem a bit overwhelming or even idealistic but if you look through the Bible you will see that God has a heart to transform cities. His desire is that entire cities and regions would be rebuilt, restored and renewed. He sent Jesus into the world not so that he could condemn our cities but rather so that He could save them (Jn 3:17). The vision that God has given us at Take the City is to see entire cities transformed by the power of Gospel. We believe that the only solution to the problems our cities are facing is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our area desperately needs the sons and daughters of God to bring this message of reconciliation. We believe that as the church serves our community by meeting basic needs and bringing the gospel message that our community will never be the same! This summer my family made a huge step of faith when we decided to launch into this ministry full time. We believe that God has huge plans for this area and that it is now time to invest ourselves 100% to seeing this area transformed. Would you be willing to help us as we launch this ministry by partnering with us on a monthly basis, joining our prayer team or helping in another way? We would love for you to prayerfully consider joining our partnership team to help us transform the Chattahoochee Valley area! For the Kingdom! – Andrew...

Vision Night 2015

August 3, 2015

Since 2013 Take the City has mobilized hundreds of people into neighborhoods where we have seen thousands of lives impacted. In 2013-14 we worked with over 75 different churches and impacted approximately 9,500 lives. We saw 221 people come to salvation in Christ in those two years and fed over 5,800 people at our various outreaches and events. We have hosted kids clubs and bible studies that have impacted children and their families in inner city neighborhoods like Wilson Apartments in Columbus. We also hosted an 8-week intensive training where we had over 50 participants from various churches learn how to lead themselves and others into a lifestyle of evangelism. God has truly done amazing things as we have witnessed the body of Christ coming together to see our cities revitalized! As we look forward we believe that all of this is truly just the beginning of what God wants to do in our area. Our Vision is to transform our cities by serving in the areas of proclamation, compassion and justice. Imagine hundreds of churches and organizations from across the Chattahoochee Valley area coming together to love, serve and pray for their region. Imagine what could be accomplished if we built greater collaboration among civic, corporate, and church leaders spanning economic and denominational lines. Imagine the impact if we could help establish sustainable efforts unique to each neighborhood that would revitalize entire areas of our community. Please come join us for a night to celebrate all that God has already done and to also hear about how you can partner with what God is doing through the ministry of Take the City!...

Harvest Night

Did you know every third Thursday of the month believers from all over the Valley area are gathering to worship Jesus and to pray over their communities together? One of our core values here at Take the City concerns unifying churches from all different denominations and cultural backgrounds. For us it is one of our greatest joys and privileges to use the prayer room, Harvest House of Prayer, for this very purpose.

We invite you to come join us and see what God is doing on these Harvest Nights! These nights of worship combined with our Saturday outreaches create a powerful equipping force in the lives of believers, as we learn what it means to worship, pray, evangelize, and make disciples who make disciples in our city and beyond. So come on out, get involved, meet like-minded believers, and let’s worship the Lord together!
