What is the Bible? Can we trust the Bible?

In this session join Andrew Chalmers as we explore why we believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. This is of critical importance right now that we understand why the Bible can be trusted and how we should view this sacred book.

Can we trust the Bible as the Word of God?

The Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God. This was the way the early church viewed the scriptures and is the way that we should view the written word of God today. The scriptures are under attack now, even more than ever. Not only are countries around the world banning the book from being printed or read, also even Christians, theologians are attacking the word of God and challenging whether or not we can trust the word.

Let’s look at a few KEY scriptures that help us know that God’s word is divinely inspired and can be trusted.

And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after saying, “THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM,” [He then says,] “AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.” [Heb 10:15-17 NASB]

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; [2Ti 3:16 NASB]

Tyrone

I learned about Take The City through a young lady at our church about 5 years ago and after going on my first outreach, I was HOOKED. I fell in love with the family environment, organic evangelism, and genuine love that I experience here.  The training, connections, and opportunities that I’ve been blessed with here have been nothing short of life-changing!  God bless my TTC family.
